In 2015, when I was playing professional volleyball, as a result of a fall with a weight of 80 kilograms on me, I started to have pains in my waist and my left leg.

One day, when I was going down the stairs, I felt a numbness in my left leg and I fell down, so I went to the hospital. I had CT taken and I was told I needed surgery.

Based on research and recommendations, we went to Dr. Erkan. He diagnosed me with L5-S1 spondylolisthesis and scheduled for surgery. I had the operation in 2016. A total of 6 screws on the L-4, L-5, S-1 were attached, along with osteofusion.

I had no pain after the surgery. After a period of 2.5 years, pains started in my waist and my left leg again and when I went for a check up, I took my CT results with me and learned that the screws in S1 were broken. Another surgery was scheduled.

I had my second operation, the screws were changed and I was discharged a week later. Two weeks later, my stitches were removed and my pain decreased. I am not having any problems at the moment. I’m continuing my routine check ups.
